What to Make of Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal
TabTrade - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does factor into your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
